As I’m sure many of you would agree, these past weeks have been a bit…well, crazy... to say the least! Our lives as we’ve known them have been flip-flopped upside-down and we’re in the midst of trying to manage our children, jobs, health, and sanity! April brings us a chance to appreciate the warming weather and take some extra time to pause and enjoy the “little things”. Here are some fun National Days that you can celebrate with your family throughout the month.
April 4: (first Saturday of April) National Love our Children Day
We’ve all had the unique opportunity to slow down our lives down the last little while and spend more time with our families and children. Sometimes it can be a bit, (okay a LOT) overwhelming playing the role of mom, teacher, cook, maid, therapist and referee all at the same time. But how great to take a day to just enjoy the feedings, changes, and sticky fingers that made us parents in the first place.
April 6: National Caramel Popcorn Day

April 9: National Unicorn Day
This is sure to be a favorite with our little girls. From our plush toys to interactive books, celebrating unicorns can be magical for all of us.
April 12: Easter!
Spend this day appreciating the newness of life. And stay tuned to some of Baby Cubby’s latest Easter styles and toys that will be a hit in your little’s Easter baskets this year!
April 14: National Gardening Day
Nothing like some old fashioned work and getting your hands dirty. Whether it’s planting, weeding, or even visiting your local nursery (if possible?), spend some time breathing in the fresh air amongst your budding flowers. Is cool weather keeping you in? Check out this sweet book, with the prettiest of illustrations.
April 22: National Earth Day
Another chance to appreciate our beautiful world.
April 23: National Picnic Day
What better way to enjoy spring than to lay out that blanket, (check out some of our great outdoor blankets), dust off your old basket, and take your lunch outside! If the weather’s not cooperating, set it up in your living room, the littles will love the change of routine.
April 28: National Superhero Day
What a way to end out our month than to celebrate with my little guy’s personal favorite, superheros! Iron Man, Hulk, Wonder Woman, as well as our local firemen, policeman, armed forces, and medical professionals all deserve a shout out today.
