Baby Journaling

Baby Journaling

It’s no secret that time moves incredibly fast. In fact, I think every single one of us could agree that when it comes to growing and raising our babes, time becomes a blur of days and events that go by so fast, we often forget many things that happen! I’m telling ya, unless I write something down or REALLY try very hard to engrave something into my memory (like my kid’s birthdays), it’s either a blurry memory or completely gone. Because #mombrain.

I have pictures of me pregnant at my brother’s wedding, but couldn’t tell you how far along I was. I remember my little boy’s first word was “ball” but I have no idea when he started saying it. And my baby girl started smiling a while back but I don’t remember the reasoning of her first official grin.

Often times something hilarious happens and I think, “man, I need to write that down so I don’t ever forget it”. And, most of the time, I don't end up writing it down. And that's just too bad because it could’ve been an awesome story to tell down the road, but specifics often fall through the cracks.

We live in a technology-heavy world where journaling is available in the form of vlogging, Instagram pictures, Facebook entries, and so much more. These are all wonderful resources for keeping track of our family’s happenings, but sometimes, it’s just nice to sit down with a pen and paper, and just write!

Our Welcome Baby! Baby Journals are perfect for keeping track of pregnancy memories, feelings, thoughts, and cravings. They’re also great for writing down birth stories that are priceless for both mama and babe down the road. And last but not least, these journals have the perfect prompts for tracking baby’s first year!

I’ve heard that one of the biggest reasons for people not journaling is because they don’t know where to start or how much to include in their writing. But, there are NO RULES when it comes to journal writing! Keeping that in mind, using a journal like these, with a place for specific information, is a great way to get in the habit of more often writing things down.

I imagine myself twenty years down the road wishing I had more pictures and footage of my littles. I’m pretty sure even more than that though, I’ll wish I had more writing. My feelings, my guilt, my triumphs, and my love of being a mom to young kids and everything that comes with this crazy road of motherhood.
