Freshly Picked Diaper Bag Review

Freshly Picked Diaper Bag Review

The video above contains a fantastic in-depth breakdown of the new Freshly Picked Diaper Bag by my friend Michelle. I’d like to add to that review in written form in case you don’t have nine minutes right now to watch a video, or if you need specific information and don’t want to sift through every detail at the moment.

Look

First and foremost, this is a really pretty bag. At first glance, in my opinion, this reminds me of the Fawn Design bag because of the leather but also because of the clean look. There are certainly bells and whistles but they aren’t prominent, which I love. The bag comes in three gorgeous colors. Ebony is a classic black, butterscotch is a pretty tan, and stone is a timeless grey. You can’t go wrong with any color choice! Each color has gold hardware with a matte finish so it’s not incredibly shiny, but has the desired metal look.  Freshly Picked Diaper Bag- Ebony

Dimensions

This bag is a really great size. It is 13 inches wide, 15 inches tall, and has a depth of 7 inches. It has an expandable opening that allows the bag to become noticeably bigger or smaller depending on whether the snaps are done up or not. This bag makes for a great day bag or errand-running bag!

Carrying

This bag can be worn three ways: backpack, shoulder bag, or cross-body bag. Straps are available for each wear option, and if the straps not currently in use there are handy little pockets to tuck away the unused pieces. This diaper bag is designed in a way that makes adjusting, readjusting, and maneuvering straps really simple. All straps are reinforced but not padded. There is also a handle at the top for a convenient grab-and-go option.

Pockets

Outside As mentioned before, behind the bag is a pocket to tuck away straps that are not currently in use. This pocket has magnetic closure for easy use and minimization. There are also tiny little tuck-away pouches for the backpack hardware that is not in use. This way there aren’t loose pieces or long dangly straps being obnoxious and in the way. There is a front-zippered mommy pocket that is perfect for quick-reach items like keys or a wallet. Also, on the outside of this bag are two large side pockets. These are designed to fit a 32 oz. water bottle/cup/baby bottle, which is unlike a lot of diaper bags in the way that they have significantly smaller side pockets.

Inside The main compartment has a two-part opening system. First is a fold-over magnetic closure piece, and second is a cute tasseled, zipper opening. I personally like this because I very rarely zip my diaper bag and often wish I could easily cover it up without having to do up my zipper. Anyway, the main compartment is huge. And very tall. It also has two stretchy bottle pockets are on either side. Nothing too special or superior there. And two large stretchy pockets in the front that make organization very simple. It has one zippered pocket for loose items. This pocket is big enough for a phone, or other important items, and makes things incredibly easy to find. And last but not least, it has a large padded tech pocket that easily fits up to a 13-inch laptop. This pouch has a magnetic closure that likely wont close when a large laptop is inside, but will obviously close if something smaller occupies that space.

Care

These are made with vegan leather that is premium quality and simple to wipe clean. A lot of diaper bags (mine included) stain or wear at the bottom over time, but this one is guaranteed to last a bit longer thanks to its four metal feet! These not only keep it clean, but also help in keeping the shape of the bag so it stands easily on its own. The inside of this bag is made of a nylon lining. This lining is stain-resistant and wipes clean just as easily as the outside.

Well, that pretty much sums up all of the great features of this new bag! Not too long ago when I heard of Freshly Picked, I automatically thought moccasins. But after seeing and becoming acquainted with this pretty bag, I think I could smoothly transition into the idea of associating Freshly Picked with a diaper bag, now as well. These are brand spanking new! Hop on over and order yourself one today!

Hi! We have not looked into them too much before, but we’ve heard good things! The FP bag does not have any removable compartments, nor is it insulated anywhere. From what we’ve been able to tell, the PacPods are definitely more functional where this is more style & organization conscious.

The Baby Cubby

Have you all checked out the PacPod backpack bags too? Deciding between this one and that one… I like the way that one has the compartments (one is insulated). Does this come with any removable compartments? Think it needs it? Thanks!
