Product Comparison: Nuna Sena vs. 4Moms Breeze

Product Comparison: Nuna Sena vs. 4Moms Breeze

So you're in the market for a playard, but you're not quite sure what's best. The Baby Cubby wants you to find the product that works for you and your lifestyle, which is why we're highlighting two of our greatest playards: the Nuna Sena and the 4Moms Breeze. Both playards come highly recommended, but let's take a closer look at what sets them apart from the rest:

Nuna Sena

If you're always packing the kid somewhere or another, this playard can put your mind at ease. With an extra-comfort sleeping pad and lightweight build, your little one can finally sleep soundly on overnight trips. Below are some basic traits of the Nuna Sena:

  • Price: $249.95
  • Weight: 24.8 lbs
  • Age/Size: birth to 3 yrs
  • One handed setup and take down
  • Colors: night, graphite, safari, navy, scarlet

For those who want something small that's easier to haul around, the Nuna Sena Mini is also a great choice at $179.95. Just keep in mind that the reduced size only holds children from birth to 18 months of age. With these facts in mind, let's take a closer look at the alternative:

4Moms Breeze

This playard is aptly named, because it's a real breeze to setup and take down. No more grunting in frustration trying to fold it up, and you can say goodbye to wanting to rip your hair out when you try to shove it back into its little bag. This model has a lighter, quicker, and a smoother close (almost by itself) than most playards in its class. Here are the stats:

  • Price: $299.99
  • Weight: 24 lbs
  • Age/Size: birth to 3 yrs
  • One handed setup and take down
  • Colors: blue and grey

Similarities and Differences:

Although both models have a one-handed takedown, the Nuna Sena sometimes requires some extra jiggling depending on what type of flooring you are on - if you are on smooth, even flooring it will fold up nicely, whereas carpet takes just slightly more work. On the other hand, the 4Moms Breeze is a cakewalk to setup and take down on most any flooring, but it's also more pricey. Both models feature an easy-attachment bassinet, with the option to purchase waterproof sheets and other handy accessories.

One thing to also keep in mind is size. The 4Moms Breeze is larger, thus making it ideal for children to play in for longer periods of time since they will have more room to move around. But, since the Nuna Sena is normally sized it is ideal for travel since it will fit nicely in even small hotel rooms.

One last thing: both of these playards feature incredibly tough and durable mattress pads. You won't find any cardboard bases in these mattresses - instead, each section of these mattresses features a strong plastic plate, which will prevent any sagging from occurring. This means that you can rest easy that your babe will be sleeping on a very supportive mattress - just like their one at home!

And those are the facts, folks. When shopping for the perfect bassinet or playard, keep in mind that the larger the sleeping area, the larger the folded product will be. Heavy and more expensive isn't always bad (it usually means your purchase will last), but you may want to get something light and simple if that's the priority. Just pick whatever size, price, and setup works best for you.

3 Camping with Baby Essentials: The Bumbo, Nuna Sena, and Bumbleride Indie

Is the bassinet in the nuna deeper than the 4 moms?

Sandra

The Sena has a deeper bassinet than the Breeze. The Sena’s bassinet goes about halfway down into the crib, whereas the Breeze’s is just a few inches from the top.
