Snowman DIY

Cooler weather is fast approaching and that means the holidays are right around the corner! If you’re all about starting new traditions, trying new recipes, and participating in fun activities to help bring in the holiday spirit, then our blog at The Baby Cubby has you covered with our new Holiday Prep Series!

Today’s feature is a DIY Snowman that can act as a 12-Day Countdown to Christmas!

Supplies you’ll need:

  • Snowman pattern that can be downloaded here
  • Sewing scissors
  • Felt: Black - 5/8 yard; Orange - 8 ½ x 11" felt sheet; Green - 1/2 yard; Brown-8 ½ x 11" felt sheet; White - 1 ½ yards
  • Pins
  • Tape
  • Crayons (optional)

Step-by-step directions:

1. Get the snowman pattern printed at a local print shop on an engineer printer. (We blew up the print to 36x48)

2. Cut out the pattern

3. Pin pattern to felt

4. Cut out felt

5. Put up different snowman parts for each day of the 12 Days of Christmas. You will have to tape felt to the wall but felt on felt will stick. Another option is to color in the pattern day by day instead, and skip the felt and the cutting.
